The maker

Made by hand, one piece at a time.

I've been working with clay for several years, now from my studio in North Somerset. My work sits at the intersection of daily ritual and quiet beauty.

Each piece is hand made, trimmed, bisque-fired, glazed by hand, and high-fired to cone 6. The process takes weeks. The results last lifetimes.

The process

All clay is hand-wedged and hand-built, trimmed once leather-hard, and left to dry slowly. Pieces are bisque-fired to 1000°C, glazed by hand using dipping or brushing, then high-fired to cone 6 (1222°C).

The studio

Based in North Somerset, UK. Not open to the public, but commissions and studio visits can be arranged by email.
